SEA BUCKTHORN PLANT PRESALE
$90.00
Citrus in Alaska – WHAT?!?!? It’s true!
No Alaskan orchard should be complete without some sea buckthorn trees – Not only are they beautiful and different, they load up with little citrus-y berries in the fall that are packed with nutrients plus they are yummy to eat! They are hardy to zone 3.
Price is for TWO Trees – a male and a female.
Also called seaberries, the sea buckthorn berry grows more like a tree than a bush, they grow to 12′ plus. They look like tiny oranges but are slightly more tart – but not quite as tart as a lemon – the flavor is pretty intense but I think it’s really good. You can make powder for smoothies, freeze the berries for baking and to eat with your morning oatmeal, or stick them in your trail mix for a zesty treat! Of course, be sure to stick some in your fire cider for winter, too!
Sea buckthorn berries are high in many vitamins including A, C (about 8x the vitamin C in oranges), K, and E. Plus they contain loads of iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper, and zinc. Plus they contain Omegas 3,6,7, and 9. They are the only known plant-based source for Omega 7. But here’s the cool thing. Even the leaves are usable! Dehydrate them to make tea for your winter ailments because these leaves are super beneficial!
We’re so excited to offer Sea Buckthorn trees this spring but we were only able to get a few of them. Each order actually includes a male and female tree (because they are not self pollinating) so the price includes both trees. To note: They are thorny buggers but they are so worth it.
I mean, seriously – Citrus!
Here is additional information about the sea buckthorn berry:
Preorder yours today so you don’t miss out.
Preorders will all be picked up at the farm in the spring. You will get an email with pickup instructions early in the season.
