Mark your calendars and grab. your tickets early for the best pricing!

We're doing Memorial Weekend up BIG at the 2026 Alaska Homestead Expo & Marketplace by expanding the Expo to FOUR full days! There's something for everyone from shopping to classes to plenty of social time (and quiet areas for less social folks - like me!)

LOCATION:
We are back at the Big Lake Lions Club becuase this venue works best for all of our needs. We will have MORE classroom space and room for more people while still keeping things simple and easy to navigate.

We will have plenty of tents for classrooms, eating spaces, and family learning.

THIS SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO SLIGHT CHANGES OVER THE MONTHS AS WE FINALIZE PLANNING

FRIDAY:
The weekend kicks off on Friday with the Expo Marketplace. Expo ticket holders have early admission to the marketplace on Friday from 10-noon. We will open to the public from noon - 6 pm on Friday.

Marketplace tickets for folks who are not attending the Expo are $5/person. Expo ticketholders get into the marketplace for free.

Friday evening will be a private gathering for Expo ticket holders with Josh & Carolyn Thomas for folks who are also members of School of Traditional Skills or Homesteading Family.

SATURDAY:
The marketplace continues on Saturday with Expo ticket holders, again, having advanded admission from 10-noon and then opening to the general public from noon - 4 on Saturday.

The marketplace will be cleaned up from 4-6 and then we will kick off the teaching portion of the Expo with the ice cream social and community gathering/teaching time from 6-8 pm on Saturday in the main arena. Speakers for Saturday evening TBD.

SUNDAY:
Sunday starts with a church service from 10-noon.

Classes start on Sunday at 1:30 pm and will go until 5:30 pm.

MONDAY:
Classes will continue on Monday and the Expo will convene at 5 pm on Monday.

If you have any interest in learning traditional skills like raising and butchering livestock, food preservation, making and using natural fibers, living off-grid, feeding your family from your own garden or orchard, herbalism and natural living, or more - join us at the Alaska Homestead Expo.

We have over 50 workshops for adults and that includes a family tent for family-style learning!

Tickets are $75/per person (earlybird sale through September 1) and $85 for regular price general admission tickets.

Your ticket covers the entire expo so spend all four days there if you want to! Attend as many workshops as you want to. One ticket gives you admittance for the entire weekend. (Price excludes food truck and vendor purchases)

What will be happening at this Expo? We're working on that! Keep watching for updates ....
