ALASKA HOMESTEAD: CANNING YOUR HARVEST YEAR ROUND

$60.00

In my opinion, canning is the best-kept secret for busy homesteaders. If you are growing your own food, canning is a must-have skill for preservation. You can preserve fruits, vegetables, meat, and even entire meals in a jar. Want to know another secret about canning? It’s much simpler than it seems, it doesn’t have to be scary once you know what you’re doing, and I think it’s the most FUN way to preserve our bounty!

In this canning class, you will learn all aspects of canning including hot water bath, pressure canning, safety, proper tools, tips for simplicity and success, and more! We will talk about canning everything from jams to veggies to broth to entire meals in a jar! If you’re just starting out or are wanting to dig deeper canning as a form of preserving your food, this is a great class to take – we will talk about every aspect of canning so there is no room for fear or anxiety. Canning is SAFE and FUN!
