We are very excited to invite you to the second winter 2023 class in the Sustainable Alaska Homestead Series:
POULTRY 101: If you’re considering raising poultry either for meat or eggs this year, this is the class for you! The class takes place on Saturday, February 4, from 10 am – 12 pm.
Attend IN PERSON at the Big Lake Lion’s Club in Big Lake, AK, or via LIVE FEED right in your own living room! You will receive an email with instructions to attend online or in person before the event.
In this interactive Alaska homestead class, each participant will learn about raising different poultry varieties, including chickens, geese, ducks, and turkeys, for eggs or meat production. Whether you want to raise a few for your family or start a small-scale operation, this is the class for you!
This class will be taught by Angela Walker, owner of Chick-A-Palooza and Kalee Bowen, valley poultry farmer.
