In my opinion, canning is the best-kept secret for busy homesteaders. If you are growing your own food, canning is a must-have skill for preservation. You can preserve fruits, vegetables, meat, and even entire meals in a jar. Want to know another secret about canning? It’s much simpler than it seems, it doesn’t have to be scary once you know what you’re doing, and I think it’s the most FUN way to preserve our bounty!

In this canning masterclass, you will learn all aspects of canning including hot water bath, pressure canning, safety, proper tools, tips for simplicity and success, and more!

The Homestead Alaska Canning Masterclass is taught by Tandy Hogate, a lifelong food preservationist and serial canner. The class will be held in-person at the Big Lake Lions Club or via Livestream.
