Saskatoon/Currant/Rasp U-Pick: Fri. Aug. 8 from 2-6 PM
$10.00
Coming up this week: Everything on the farm is starting to ripen – it’s such a fun time of year! Friday, August 8 we will have Saskatoons, Red & Black Currants, and limited Red & Golden Raspberries. We’re opening for 25 spots for Friday, August 8 from 2-6 pm. The $10 reserves a picking appointment for you and is non-refundable. However, you will be credited the $10 when you check out as long as you come the day you have reserved. We are opening rain or shine. There’s no “getting rained out” – we’re Alaskans!
This reserves a spot for you on Friday, August 8 only. We will be open from 2-6 pm, and you can come anytime – no need to make an appointment. If you are coming later in the day, be sure to plan for plenty of time to pick up as we do close promptly at 6. Be sure to bring a container to take your berries home in. We provide buckets for picking.
$10 reserves your spot and will be applied toward your order. (no-show, no refund)
PLEASE NOTE: The $10 is for each family unit coming. If you are bringing a friend, you’ll need to purchase two spots, but if you’re bringing your spouse or kids, just purchase one ticket. The reason we do this is that we’d hate to underestimate the number of berries we have and to have someone drive all the way out here to pick only not to have enough.
Also please note: We love dogs but please leave yours at home. 🙂
If you need a dog fix, you can hang out with Myrtle and Addi who will be greeting customers. We have livestock on the farm and we take biosecurity very seriously. In purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to leave your dog at home and not bring them on the farm. ((PS – we LOVE dogs but we’ve just had soooo many issues that we have to make this a hard rule from here on out. I hate it but unfortunately a few irresponsible folks have ruined it for everyone – sorry!))
However, Kids are more than welcome but they do need to understand the rules of the farm and agree to them.
For example:
- No running in the orchard, respect the work the farmer has put into the farm, and the plants
- Samples are just that, SAMPLES! – please don’t make a lunch of the berries until you’ve paid for them. One way you can explain it to them (and we will explain, too) is to tell them that, just like we don’t take handfuls of food from the store without paying, we honor the farmer by not stealing his crop either. The difference between the farmer and the store is we ENCOURAGE you have a sample – (typically less than 5 berries). Stores don’t even allow that!
Saskatoons are $6/lb
Currants are $5/lb
Raspberries are $7/pint (we provide the pint containers for you)
We are tickled that you are planning to come to pick berries on our farm! We’re so excited to see you!
PLEASE NOTE:
** BRING YOUR OWN CONTAINERS to transport your berries home.
