LEARN TO GROW EDIBLE & MEDICINAL MUSHROOMS IN ALASKA

We’ve been talking about learning to grow mushrooms for years but have always had a million other things going on so we never got serious about it. Then Chris from Chris Outdoors approached us about doing a free webinar for our audience and that seemed like the perfect time to learn more! Then, I started talking with Gabe from Far North Fungi and he said he was interested in teaching a class I knew the timing was just right!

We all know, it’s much more fun to learn these things as a community so we put together what I think is the best mushroom learning package ever in the history of ever. 🙂

Ready?

FREE WEBINAR: Chris from Chris Outdoors is offering a FREE webinar on Monday, February 9 at 6 pm for those of you who are interested in learning what it takes to grow mushrooms on your homestead. There is absolutely no cost to join the webinar but you do need to sign up for it. Here is the link to sign up.

ONLINE SELF-PACED COURSE: Chris also has an online mushroom course that is absolutely out of this world. We purchased the online course and are having so much fun with it! It covers so many different subjects like types of mushrooms, how to grow them inside and outside, nutritional and medicinal values – it’s such a great course! However, Chris has generously offered our audience a 25% off discount – which is incredible. When you purchase the course, enter the code ALASKA25 and your cart will automatically take 25% off of your total. You seriously can’t go wrong here.

IN-PERSON, HANDS-ON CLASSES: In our usual style, we had to find a way to offer in-person classes where you can make your own mushroom kit to take home! The folks from Far North Fungi are the best and they’ve agreed to teach you how you can grow your very own mushrooms – right at home! You’ll be harvesting mushrooms about three weeks after the class! What a cool way to increase sustainability on your own homestead! Both in-person, make-and-take classes are being held on Saturday, March 28 in the Cafe at Susitna Brewing in Big Lake. Space is limited so don’t delay in getting your tickets. There is a 10 am class and a 1 pm class. You can purchase your tickets here.

If you are planning to come to the 10 am class, be sure to leave time to grab lunch on your way out – they have the best pizza in the valley in my opinion and their burgers are my absolute favorite! If you’re coming to the afternoon class, bring a friend and come early and enjoy lunch prior! (lunch is not included in the price of the ticket)

We are so very excited to learn all about growing mushrooms sustainably in Alaska, right beside you! This is going to be awesome!
