MARY WASHINGTON ASPARAGUS: 2024 Fall Plant Presale
Original price was: $30.00.$25.00Current price is: $25.00.
It’s that time again – time for our annual fall plant presale! Isn’t it so fun to get a jump start on planning your next garden and thinking about how you can feed you family nutrient dense foods right from your own property?
The asparagus we offered last year was so popular, we’re offering it again this year. And guess what – the price went DOWN this year! That never happens! Our price went down so your price did, too! <3
Why should you participate in our annual presale and not just wait to get your plants in the spring? I’m so glad you asked!
- Secure your plants so you don’t have to worry about missing out.
- We actually purchase most of the plants (everything except the bare root plants and the blueberries) and winter them over here so they’ve spent an entire winter in Alaska before being sold. This ensures hardiness for the plants – which gives us all a good confidence that the plants will thrive here!
- Support our small farm as we expand and do more to provide food and resources for the community.
MARY WASHINGTON ASPARAGUS – 25 bareroot plants for only $25 for the presale (Price goes up to $30 after the presale is over)
Asparagus is an awesome perennial vegetable to plant in your garden because it’s like the gift that keeps giving – and if you haven’t had fresh-from-the=garden asparagus then you’ve not REALLY enjoyed asparagus to its fullest. Fresh is so tender and juicy and flavorful!
One thing about asparagus is that it doesn’t produce for the first couple of years. It takes some time and patience but when it does start producing, you’re set! AND – in Alaska it can produce all summer, not just in the spring! Every Alaska garden needs an asparagus bed!
These come in bunches of 25 plants, and they will produce beautiful asparagus stalks in about 2 years.
Pickup is at the farm May 9-11 where we will have an open house and have even more plants for sale including our hardy apple and plum trees and more! And we usually have something extra for moms since it’s Mother’s Day Weekend.
