THE SHORT VERSION:
- OPEN: 2-6 pm Wednesday August 14 (Please don’t arrive early or plan to stay late)
- Picking Raspberries (golden and red), currants (red and black), and the last of the saskatoons
- Bring containers to take your berries home in (pick in our containers – take them home in yours)
- Please don’t bring your dogs to the farm
- Each reservation is for one family. Bringing a friend? We LOVE that! Just please make two reservations so we know we have ample berries for everyone!
- Your $10 deposit is non-refundable but you DO get it back when you show up to pick. No show – no refund. 🙂
ALL THE DETAILS:
Coming up this week: There are a few raspberries ready! We have both black and red currants. We are also at the tail end of the saskatoons – this will likely be the very last picking for saskatoons. We’re opening for 15 spots for Wednesday August 14 from 2-6 pm. The $10 reserves a picking appointment for you and is non-refundable. However, you will be credited the $10 when you check out as long as you come the day you have reserved.
This reserves a spot for you on Wednesday August 14. We will be open from 2-6 pm, and you can come anytime – no need to make an appointment. If you are coming later in the day, be sure to plan for plenty of time to pick up as we do close promptly at 6. Be sure to bring a container to take your berries home in. We provide buckets for picking.
$10 reserves your spot and will be applied toward your order. (no-show, no refund)
PLEASE NOTE: The $10 is for each family coming. If you are bringing a friend, you’ll need to purchase two spots, but if you’re bringing your spouse or kids, just purchase one ticket. The reason we do this is that we’d hate to underestimate the number of berries we have and to have someone drive all the way out here to pick only not to have enough.
Also please note: We love dogs but please leave yours at home. 🙂 If you need a dog fix, you can hang out with Myrtle and Addi who will be greeting customers.
However, kids are more than welcome but they do need to understand the rules of the farm and agree to them. For example: No running in the orchard, respect the plants, and samples are just that – please don’t make a lunch of the berries until you’ve paid for them. One way you can explain it to them (and we will explain, too) is to tell them that, just like we don’t take handfuls of food from the store without paying, we honor the farmer by not stealing his crop either. The difference between the farmer and the store is we ENCOURAGE you have a sample – (typically less than 5 berries). Stores don’t even allow that!
Currants are $5/lb.
Saskatoon berries are $7/lb.
Raspberries are $7/pint – we provide the pint container for your raspberry picking and you will get to take that home. They don’t like to be transferred around between containers.
Bulk Saskatoon berries are $6.50 for orders that are 12 lbs. and more.
